(AP) – No Triple Crown again this year: Shackleford won today's Preakness Stakes at Pimlico. He fended off a late charge by Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom, who finished just a half-length behind, ahead of third-place finisher Astrology. Shackleford also ran in the Derby, but he finished fourth after leading most of that race.
