Helio Races to 'Dancing' Win

Race-car driver boogies his way to mirror-ball trophy

(Newser) – Spoiler Alert! Race car driver Helio Castroneves is the big winner in this season's "Dancing With the Stars," having beat out experienced dancer and Spice Girl Melanie Brown in the show's glittery finale. Brown may have brought more moves, but the two-time Indy-500-winning driver had the verve needed to impress both judges and fans, reports the AP.

"It will look so good between my two Indy 500 trophies," said Castroneves of the gigantic mirrorball he won with partner Julianne Hough. It's the second such shiny prize for Hough, who won the contest last year when paired with Olympic skater Apollo Anton Ohno. Marie Osmond, whose father died during the season, the show's 5th, was eliminated earlier yesterday.
