Armstrong: Late Hubby Threatened to Kill Me

(Newser) – Taylor Armstrong certainly isn’t heeding that advice about not speaking ill of the dead: In an interview airing tonight on ET and obtained by the AP, the Real Housewife details the abuse she says she received at the hands of estranged husband Russell, who killed himself last month. Once, “he grabbed me by the neck and shoved me against the wall and he said, ‘If you ever make my children a pizza without a vegetable again, I'll kill you,’” Armstrong claims at one point.

Armstrong also provided Entertainment Tonight with a photo she says was taken after one beating, in which she has a bad black eye—and a source tells the New York Post she made as much as $125,000 from the sale of the picture. ET aired the photo last week to tease tonight’s interview. But the whole thing is a hoax, Russell Armstrong’s lawyer tells TMZ. Apparently, Taylor Armstrong recently took a football to the face—and either that or plastic surgery caused the black eye. “If Mr. Armstrong was the cause of those injuries he would have been arrested and prosecuted,” the lawyer says, adding that Taylor Armstrong did not report the alleged incident to the police.
