After the official press conferences and announcements, it's a viral video on YouTube that might be the stealing the show regarding the end of Don't Ask, Don't Tell. In it, an unidentified gay soldier stationed in Germany films himself telling his father that he's gay, notes ChicagoPride. "Can I tell you something," asks the soldier, whose YouTube handle is AreYouSurprised. "Yeah," says dad. "Will you love me serious?" asks the soldier. "Yes," says the father. "Dad, I'm gay."

After explaining that he didn't want to wait because he didn't know when he'd see his dad again in person, the soldier asks, "Will you still love me?" His father replies, "I still love you, son. Yes, I still love you." (More YouTube stories.)
