The lost-and-found tale of the week: A Florida man accidentally chucked his wife's $10,000 custom-made wedding ring in the trash, then dutifully headed to the county dump to dig in. Workers gave him a protective suit, pointed him in the right direction ... and watched in amazement as the hubby turned up the diamond ring in about 30 minutes, reports the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

"Nastiness you wouldn't believe," recalls the lucky guy. "It was absolutely disgusting. It stunk beyond belief. The smell was God-awful. Everything unsanitary you could think of crossed my path at least a couple times." (More wedding ring stories.)
