Ad's message is 'guess what, it's your turn,' he says

(Newser) – Signalling a no-holds-barred fight ahead, Mitt Romney is standing by the use of an out-of-context quote from President Obama in his first TV ad. The ad—slammed by Democrats and called "ridiculously misleading" by non-partisan campaign watchdog Politifact—features Obama saying, "If we keep talking about the economy, we’re going to lose," without mentioning that he was quoting John McCain's campaign in 2008.

Romney told reporters that his campaign had issued a press release explaining that the words came from Obama's opponent. "There was no hidden effort on the part of our campaign. It was instead to point out that what's sauce for the goose is now sauce for the gander," he said. "This ad points out, now, guess what, it's your turn. The same lines used on John McCain are now going to be used on you, which is that this economy is going to be your albatross."

Romney is being disingenuous with his add taking President Obama's "lazy" statement out of context. I thought he was going to be honest and transparent in his campaign but if this is an example of "honest" he won't get my support.  Remember Bush and Cheney swore there were WMDs too, we're still paying for that. Unfortunately Romney has shown that he is more interested in being President than being honest, it's possible to be both but he hasn't figured that out.

So your typical GOP idiot would be fine with this -Be afraid, terrified because the LORD your God will leave you" Deuteronomy 31:6 Or   -- Be terrified; for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."Joshua 1:9 Or better yet  --  "The LORD  maketh me to lie down in green pastures: thy rod and thy staff they comfort mine enemies" Psalm 23 See how much fun it is to twist quotes?Who needs truth in advertising when you are convincing a bunch of dimwits to vote themselves into poverty?
