Nadya Suleman getting six-figure sum for weekly broadcast: TMZ

(Newser) – If you're craving more antics from the Octomom, you're in luck: You'll soon get a weekly dose. A production company is paying Nadya Suleman a six-figure sum to star in a web TV show to air on Ustream, TMZ reports. The show, which begins this month, will be filmed in Suleman's Octohome; she'll discuss "parenting, fitness, diet, nutrition, shopping on a budget and all those crazy rumors," an insider tells the website.

A media marketing machine is desperate to transform her scheming character into a palatable and somehow sanitized package the public will swallow using the name of motherhood for that purpose. WebTV is just another gamble to that end for her and the promoters to “secure revenues” (her early expression about her “situation”). It has to be a controlled situation to insure their investment in an attempt to continue to shove her down America’s throat. As long as there are gullible people to buy it they will march on with their mission. (Her children would be better off without her)

She was damaged and obsessed. In the clear light of reality, she woke up, and has been trying to deal with her problems. And her children. Responsibly. She does not have a lot of options. How long do you want to scapegoat her? This is a reflection of the underbelly of American pop culture, which is why the vitriolic spewers should take a look in the mirror. I hope she succeeds so that her family can stay united. Nobody wins if she fails.

(NEWSER) - Child-rich but cash-poor California mother Nadya Suleman filed for bankruptcy yesterday. The mother of 14, including her famous 3-year-old octuplets, has some $50,000 in assets, but owes up to $1 million to her father, a Christian school, the city of La Habra's water department, and the previous owner of her house, which is now in foreclosure, the Orange County Register reports. (NEWSER) - Social workers visited Nadya Suleman's home last night after an official complaint—by the Octomom's own hairstylist—that her 14 children are living in "general neglect." TMZ has the pictures that triggered the investigation, and while some of the allegations are less than hard-hitting (the kids are barefoot outside?! Horrors!), others are admittedly gross (children pooping in an outdoor training potty because only one indoor toilet works) and/or disturbing (Suleman allegedly locked the kids in a bedroom, blocking the door with a chair). Police officers and social service workers did not find the kids to be in danger during last night's visit, KTLA reports, but the inquiry will continue. More»

(NEWSER) - After 14 kids and major money troubles, "Octomom" Nadya Suleman is admitting that, yes, the fertility treatments that ended in octuplets were a mistake. "Was it a mistake to have IVF after having six children already?" she was asked on NBC Dateline. "Yes, absolutely," she answered. "Was I in my lucid state of mind? I don't know at that point." Suleman, who vowed never to go on welfare after her latest eight babies were born, is now getting $2,000 a month in food stamps , and posed nude recently to raise money for her family. "I have to do what I have to do to take care of my family, and I'm not ashamed at all," she told Anderson Cooper of the nudie shoot . (NEWSER) - Octomom is on the skids: Things have gotten so tight for Nadya Suleman that not only did she give the world topless pictures that no one ever, ever wanted to see, she is now officially on welfare. And it seems that many a California taxpayer is incensed at the prospect of Suleman and her tribe of 14 kids taking public assistance, because TMZ reports that since it broke the story, Suleman has received scads of angry phone calls and even death threats. A typical sentiment: "Die, b****. I’m not working for your f***ing kids, you’re the one that wanted them."
