Oops: Did Warren Jeffs Preach From Prison?

If so, the polygamist leader broke the rules

(Newser) – Polygamist leader Warren Jeffs may still be preaching to his sect—over the phone. "We have confirmed that Jeffs made two phone calls on Christmas Day to a relative," a Texas official tells the Los Angeles Times. "At this point, we're investigating whether he may have circumvented policy and may have spoken to his congregation." Jeffs, who is serving a life sentence for the sexual assault of two underage "spiritual brides," could face a ban on telephone use, the official said.

"If the calls he made on Christmas were put on speaker phone or patched through to someone else, that would be a violation of policy." The Times notes that if Jeffs did make the unauthorized calls, it could signal that he's trying to run the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints—a 10,000-member sect which calls on men to have three or more wives—from behind bars. It's not the first time such concerns have been raised.

Bring out the Pepto Bismol again---I would be so happy if we never heard this man's name again in 2012 and all the years ahead.  This is outrageous that he is allowed phone calls to family or anyone.  Thank the good Lord this psycho religious fanatic is behind bars.

Lets just take away all outside contact for at least five years.  That should change the power dynamic.

Polygamy should not bring jail time; it is its own punishment!
