The two children were left alone in the van.   (?Pedro Alonso.)

(Newser) – The young son of a Washington state cop picked up a gun he found in his absent dad's van and fatally shot his 7-year-old sister. The girl and her younger brother were waiting in the van while their parents were nearby outside, said a Marysville police officer. "At this time we are all extremely concerned for the well being of one of our department family members," said Police Chief Rick Smith. Police have not revealed how long the children were alone in the car, and where the gun was kept, reports the Seattle Times. An investigation is continuing.

Yet another very sad story about an innocent child lost as the result of negligence........How many more will die as a result of loaded guns stored easily accessible to curious little ones?........ Parents, your child should be your number one your guns and ammo safely and out of the reach of your children.........assume nothing........ These parents will have a very hard time dealing with the loss of their young daughter..........there is no closure.........many prayers may help ease the pain........

You know a bunch of you are twisted in a sick way! many of you thinking this is funny that he got a gun in a car that his parents should have kept from him-but allowed him to get with his sister around and he kills her! this is not funny! and maybe the parents set it up like this. The story does not make good sense at all! but what is also bad is the many people posting on this website are not good people to think the death of a child is funny! screw your head on right,or is it spinning around!
