(Newser) – The last wishes of a dying mother have inspired a British best-seller that's soon coming to the US, reports ABC News. The story began when Kate Greene and her husband, St. John Greene—sweethearts since high school—had a son diagnosed with cancer and another born prematurely. Both turned out OK, but Kate soon found two lumps in her breast. “When [their son] was diagnosed, we said we wished we could swap places with him,” her husband said, “but [we] didn’t realize anyone was listening.”

Kate battled cancer for nearly two years, but she had a relapse and was given only 18 months to live. As it turned out, she had just 18 days. She quietly asked her husband if she could give him a list of things to do. Among them: kissing the boys twice every night, finding a new wife, and taking the boys diving in Belize. "This way at least two bits of me would go," she told him. She died two years ago, and now the book, Mum's List, is due out in the US on June 5.

Live and spend for today like there IS no tomorrow! Or, as it's referred to in political terms, be a Liberal!

Heart wrenching and beautiful. Out of hurt and experience do we only find the strength to keep on going. I hope her husband checks off each item on that list. Each day is a gift, so why not?

Hmmm..... How much of this are we supposed to believe as true? It took 2 years to write the list that was given to him in her last 18 days? Something smells a little Fishy! With the Economy the way it is , everyone is trying to make money. Just hope that his is not some sort of Hoax. Condolences to the family, and May she rest in peace.
