Yahoo CEO Quitting: Report

Scott Thompson is out over faked resume: AllThingsD

(Newser) – Creative resume writing is not paying off for embattled Yahoo CEO Scott Thompson, who is about to step down from the tech giant's helm, reports Kara Swisher in an exclusive for AllThingsD. He'll likely be replaced by Yahoo's global media chief, Ross Levinsohn, who presumably has a squeaky-clean CV. Yahoo's board, meanwhile, is nearing a settlement with shareholder Daniel Loeb, who discovered Thompson's claim to a computer science degree was bogus. Loeb will get three of four board seat selections he proposed. The board is meeting today.

i had a lot of fun with yahoo...but they gradually took all the fun right out of themselves...getting rid of user rooms because they couldnt police themselves from child porn...while allowing bots to over run their system until all their chat rooms were impossible to communicate in...every update removed a useful feature or complicated its use...i guess the time of chat rooms is gone...but i did enjoy them...and without them yahoo is nothing to me
