Zawahiri video says al-Qaeda should focus on Palestinian plight

(Newser) – Ayman al-Zawahiri has issued a video commemorating the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, in which he renews his call for all Muslims to support the revolution in Syria, and accuses the US of propping up Bashar al-Assad's regime. "Supporting jihad in Syria to establish a Muslim state is a basic step towards Jerusalem, and thus America is giving the secular Baathist regime one chance after another for fear that a government is established in Syria that would threaten Israel," he said, according to Reuters.

He said al-Qaeda needed to re-focus on "liberating Palestine," and urged all the region's governments to break their peace treaties with Israel. He singled out Egypt in particular. "I appeal to the honorable members of the Egyptian army, and there are many of them, not to be guards for the borders of Israel." He also bashed Pakistan for having a "government for sale and an army for rent."

We've got to cut out al qaedas head. These people are nothing but some blood thirsty heathen scum. They are not Muslim,as they say,they are of Satanic religion Who hypocritically claim they are muslim,there for they can recruit as many blind eyed muslims as possible to do there dirty work! Syria is currently at a major crisis with manyyyy people dying,Sanctions that kill peoples economy,and NO help whats so ever. Turkey doesn't really want to help,but instead closes its border and tries to start a war with Syria,and wars DO NOT HARM A REGIME,THEY HARM THE PEOPLE! (Thank you T) The damned Rebels won't lay there weapons and are instead partly turning there weapons on civilians,proof is all the "Accidental" deaths brought about by them,they really benefit from terrorizing people,therefor people stand up against Assad! They recently throw a nail bomb in a kindergarden and blamed it on assad,(Check it out on Newser).... This will surely get many fighters to there ILL cause. The foreign powers should learn to be more positive,and less negative when it comes to actually helping syria (DONT ARM THE DAMN REBELS,NOR THE DAMN REGIME). Blood lies on more than just the syrian regimes hand,n that's the bitter truth! Bashar must leave,but this is not how,it's just evil how the situation has no "good" side in it. Oh,n may I add the army fights because there a conscript force and not a chosen force.
