Egypt Sentences 7 to Death for Anti-Islam Film

Film's creator among those sentenced

(Newser) – Seven Egyptian Christians have been sentenced to death for their role in The Innocence of Muslims, reports Reuters. The defendants, including the film's Egypt-American creator, Nakoula Bassely Nakoula, were sentenced in absentia for "insulting the Islamic religion through participating in producing and offering a movie that insults Islam and its prophet," Judge Saif al-Nasr Soliman said. Nakoula is currently imprisoned in the US.

Of course, sentencing these people to death is barbaric, but the problem I have is that in the USA there is a non-stop stream of negative stories about Muslims and no positive ones providing an extremely unbalanced view. Although, I'm Jewish, I've been to many Islamic nations and have many Muslim friends. If you ask most Americans what they think of Palestinians they instantly equate them with terrorists, and the conditions they live under are totally unknown here. But if you took Americans to Ramallah, or to places like Kuala Lumpur, Nigeria or Jakarta and had them meet average Muslims they would probably be shocked to find out they were regular people, no better or worse than themselves.

And here in the USA a person kills a family and then sits in prison on our dime. What happened to hanging someone just for stealing a horse? Instead we invite all the criminals to keep on doing what they do. USA is becoming a joke and being run by a Clown Posse.
