(Newser) – A Taliban raid of the Kabul traffic police headquarters is over and three police officers and at least five insurgents were killed in the hours-long fighting, Afghan police say. The battle ended more than nine hours after it began early today with a car bomb attack against the front gate of the building. Authorities say two Taliban suicide bombers were killed at the gate, another blew himself up inside the building, and another two were killed by security forces before they managed to detonate their vests.

What an exhausting country to live in when you can't trust anyone around you for fear they are strapped with explosives. My biggest fear is leaving my cell phone at the grocery store! I wish there was a way to eliminate the terror of the taliban in Afghanistan but when there are so many who believe in the story telling of the Quran, that if they sacrifice themselves for Allah, they will be granted access into paradise, what can you do with their twisted mindset....

Let Karzai handle it. Maybe Joe Biden can advise him. After all Joe says the Taliban are our friends?
