(Newser) – A 67-year-old Texas woman was killed yesterday morning when her own car ran her over. Isabel Huerta pulled over her PT Cruiser front of a San Antonio high school and got out of the car, but left it in gear, the Express-News reports. Huerta then fell over—just as the car began rolling backward toward her. A nurse on her way to work stopped in an attempt to help and called 911.

Firefighters jack-lifted the car off of Huera and performed CPR, but it was no use: She died at the scene. There are "various theories circulating as to why she got out of the car," a police officer says. Huerta's family tells Fox 29 that they suspect she got out because she was feeling sick.

Must have been on the upside of one steep hill, or the idle on that thing was set way too high. I don't think a car idling backward would typically have enough power to get over a human body. Also, why the hell didn't she move out of the way once the bumper touched her?

Wasn't there a man around to blame for not jumping under the car to save her? Where are all them sexist patriarchs when you need one.

Well, that might be one less pot smokin' illegal, sucking our government dry.
