Mourners gathered today for the funeral of James Gandolfini, including quite a few of his Sopranos co-stars and, of course, adoring fans. David Chase, creator of the series, is one of four people scheduled to offer remembrances during the ceremony at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine. The others are his widow, Deborah Lin Gandolfini, and two family friends. A private family wake was held for the actor yesterday in New Jersey. Broadway theaters paid tribute by dimming their lights briefly last night; Gandolfini was nominated for a Tony Award in 2009 as an actor in God of Carnage. (More James Gandolfini stories.)
