(Newser) – A leading porn industry group called for a moratorium on filming, after discovering that one performer has tested positive for HIV. The Free Speech Coalition, an industry group, wouldn't reveal the infected performer's identity, but said it was working with Adult Production Health & Safety Services to treat other performers who might have been exposed, the LA Times reports.

The group also said there was no evidence that the primary patient caught the disease on-set. But the revelation comes at an awkward time for the industry, because it's currently fighting a new LA law requiring porn performers to wear condoms.

Looks like they will be regulated like other movie industry segments.....you dont see them shoot real bullets, they dont really total those burning cars and walk away. Now you will see a lot of whip cream, sugar water splatters, and natural looking urethane body parts.

For everybody who has any porn videos: Hang onto them. They will be collectibles in a few years!

Tell us please, what promted the one infected performer to get checked? Is the performer male or female? How long is the moratorium? We all know this won't last 30 minutes. 1492
