(Newser) – Nine men were shot, at least three of them fatally, in the latest multiple shooting in violence-plagued Detroit, the AP reports. Witnesses said they heard 30 to 40 shots fired as a barbershop on the city's east side was sprayed with bullets, the Detroit Free Press reports. Al's Barbershop was known for gambling, but police, who are looking for at least two suspects and two cars, don't know the motive for the shooting. "I can’t even imagine what would cause this type of violence," the city's police chief says. Detroit's new mayor-elect has vowed to reduce the troubled city's crime rate.

1. With a rifle? The shooter was most likely a "city boy" with little time at the range. Only 3 of 9?: This Michigan deer hunter from the Upper Peninsula of MI would have expected 9 for 9! LOL 2. The sign by my door bell: "Ignore the dog, but beware of the lethal.45 Colt!" LOL Peace,

1. What? "Known gambling?" Well, just like in the 1920s in Chicago, anything goes. Local word in this Detroit area is that the shooter was owed a gambling debt and the hood members hadn't paid it.. 2. The gene pool was improved by removing a couple of low lives from it. 3. Suggestion: Get a job, my BOY, don't make your living off of gambling, illegal drugs, extortion, pimping, etc. 4. Where were their families? Did they know who their father's were? 5. No tears here. Peace
