(Newser) – Gaza health officials say the death toll from an Israeli strike on a compound housing a UN school in the northern Gaza Strip has risen to at least 15. Gaza health official Ashraf al-Kidra says the 15 were among hundreds of people seeking shelter in the school in Beit Hanoun from heavy fighting in the area. At least 150 people were injured; al-Jazeera puts that number at 200. Sources tell al-Jazeera the number killed could be as high as 30.

Today's strike is the fourth time a UN facility has been hit in fighting between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza, but it's the first time casualties have been reported.

I don't like fighting. Both sides are wrong. At the UN vote which passed the partition of Palestine in to Israel and Palestine states the Grand Mufti stated that "as Muslims they were to do away with all Jews in the middle east." This isn't hype, the conversations are on record from the Nazi records - he was friends with Hitler and the SS officers. He was to be tried for war crimes but escaped. The partition plan of the UN was not implemented due to immediate outbreak of civil war . So to follow almost immediately after the UN Palestine partition vote on 29th Nov 1947, the Zionist Militia (Haganah) declared the war on the Palestinians. Prior to this some areas had Jews and Arabs living side by side. Once the vote was made they became mortal enemies. On the Palestinian side was the Fatah, PIJ and Hamas doing the same thing. From 1980 to 2008 there are 150 documented suicide bombings by Palestinians with almost 500 injured and 350 killed almost entirely done by Hamas (or at least they took credit for them). Now look at rockets - Hamas (mainly) have launched 172 documented rockets in to Israel from January through June of 2014. In the month of July the count is over 1700 already and the month is not over. Look back to the six day war in the 1960s. PLO killed "X" number of Israeli's and they in turned killed "XXX" Palestinians in retaliation. It has been 50 years and this practice still goes on. I don't see a way for them to stop - they wish to exterminate each other. I do not see a way to ever have peace in the Middle East. If it isn't Muslim/Arab vs Jew conflict it is Muslim vs Muslim (Shittes and Sunnis), So very sad.

If everybody is so bent about the money, what about the money we give to the palestinians so they can build infrastructure? They decided to build an underground network of tunnels and bunkers so they can hide their fighters and weapons. That's not helping "their people" nor is the continued missile launching
