Australia's Adelaide River is known for its enormous crocodiles, which tourists often watch jumping to snatch chicken meat hung from poles. One such croc, who's 15 feet long, had been somewhat dubiously named Michael Jackson for his albino head. During a fishing session on the dangerous river, a man entered the water to fix his line; that's when Michael Jackson snatched him, police say, per the Independent.

The 57-year-old man's wife, who didn't see the moment, heard "a scream and then turned around and saw a tail splashing in the water." Last night, searchers found the man's body and shot the croc, police say. Michael Jackson appears to have been half-albino, making him a rarity, the BBC notes, adding that crocodiles have killed four people in the country's Northern Territory this year. Another huge croc pulled a man from a boat in June. (More crocodile stories.)
