"I went to the bottom of the stairs and saw a couple of ninjas coming down." So begins the crazy tale out of Utah from Thursday night. As the Salt Lake Tribune tells it, two women—variously described as either sister wives or in a polygamous relationship with the same man—dressed up as ninjas, grabbed some knives and a stun gun, and broke into a house under cover of a loud storm. Police say they attacked two men inside, and were seeking to abduct a 15-year-old girl, apparently because she is due to testify against their husband, who stands accused of sex assault. "My adrenaline was pumping so bad," one of the men tells Fox 13.

A police spokesman tells the Guardian: "Another adult male joined the fray in defense of the first male victim. He was armed with a (Samurai) sword, and using a sword … and with the other male [was] able to subdue the two women until police arrived and took them into custody." The women, 18 and 22, aren't being identified so as to protect the identity of the child involved; they're facing a bevy of felony charges including aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, and witness tampering.
