A traffic accident in China last month made headlines when no fewer than 17 girlfriends showed up at the hospital to comfort the injured man. All were surprised to learn of the others. Now, police officials say it was more than embarrassing—it was criminal. They've detained the man on fraud charges, alleging that he systematically took money from the women, reports the South China Morning Post. The women, meanwhile, set up an online group called the "revenge alliance" but have since changed the name to "angels" and say they're done with their Casanova. (More China stories.)
