(Newser) – On Tuesday, Donald Trump said he wasn't ready to endorse Paul Ryan, who is running for re-election in Wisconsin. His running mate apparently doesn't have the same hangup. CNBC reports Mike Pence endorsed Ryan on Wednesday, saying both Ryan and Trump will "do great things." Pence called Ryan a "strong conservative leader" and "longtime friend" and denied any sort of acrimony between Ryan and Trump, whom he described as "two men building a good relationship," according to ABC News. In fact, he said Trump "strongly encouraged" him to endorse Ryan. The Washington Post reports Pence said the re-election of Ryan will be good for congress, the military, the economy, and America in general.
