Stanford is on its way to the women’s national title game after knocking off No. 1 UConn tonight, 82-73. Senior Candice Wiggins had a game-high 25 points and led in rebounds, as well, with 13. Kayla Pederson did her part and tacked on another 17 for the Cardinal. The win is the 23rd in a row for Stanford, reports the AP.

Maya Moore led the Huskies, as she has all season, putting up 20 points, but UConn’s top scorer was held to just six points in the first half and was a mere 3-for-11 from 3-point range. The Cardinals, without a Final Four appearance in 10 years, will now try to win their first title since 1992 against either LSU or Tennessee. (More 2008 NCAA Women's Tournament stories.)
