A Colorado Uber driver got a raw deal over the weekend, but so did a retaining wall, a tree, and his car after one of his passengers was accused of stealing it following a fight. Sheriff's deputies say it started at close to 3am Saturday in Fort Collins, when the unnamed Uber driver tried to drop off a carload of passengers, including an apparently inebriated Meagan Osgood, per 7NEWS. The deputies note that Osgood began brawling with at least one of her carmates, per the Coloradoan, and when the driver jumped out to try to separate them, she locked the car doors, slid into the driver's seat, and sped off. The 25-year-old is then accused of taking a spin through a yard, slamming into the aforementioned wall, tree, "and landscaping."

The likely startled Uber driver reported that Osgood drove so close to him that he had to leap out of harm's way. Deputies and Fort Collins cops pulled Osgood over on a nearby street, where they say she initially wouldn't get out of the car. When she finally emerged, cops say she still wasn't listening to their orders and ended up getting pepper-sprayed. After getting checked out at a local hospital, Osgood was arrested on a litany of charges, including motor vehicle theft, driving under the influence, and resisting arrest. She was booked into the Larimer County Jail on $500 bond. The Uber car itself suffered serious damage to its front end. (Uber's got other problems to worry about.)
