"Men and women of the conservative movement, this is our time," Vice President Mike Pence told the CPAC conference Thursday night. He promised that "America's ObamaCare nightmare is about to end" and slammed "liberal activists" for protesting at town hall meetings, NPR reports. "This failed law is crippling the American economy and crushing the American people," Pence said. "Talk about your fake news, folks. Just look at all the promises liberals made about ObamaCare." He said there would be an "orderly transition to a better health-care system that finally puts the American people first."

Pence echoed President Trump during his 21-minute speech, attacking the media and praising the "historic victory" in November, the Washington Post reports. "The media, the elites, the insiders, everybody else who profits off preserving the status quo, they dismissed our president," he said. "They're still trying to dismiss all of us." He compared Trump to Ronald Reagan and said now is the most important moment in the history of the conservative movement. "This is the chance we've worked so hard, for so long, to see," he said. "This is the time to prove again that our answers are the right answers for America." (John Boehner says ObamaCare repeal is "not going to happen.")
