WalletHub has ranked 2017's fattest cities in America, and—as the US is once again the fattest country in the world—possibly the fattest cities anywhere. More than 70% of Americans over the age of 15 are considered overweight or obese by one metric. WalletHub ranked 100 of the US' most populous metro areas on 17 "key indicators" of fatness, including the percentage of adults who are physically inactive and projected 2030 obesity rates. Here are the 10 fattest cities in America:

  1. Jackson, Mississippi
  2. Memphis, Tennessee
  3. Little Rock, Arkansas
  4. McAllen-Edinburg-Mission, Texas
  5. Shreveport-Bossier City, Louisiana
  6. Chattanooga, Tennessee
  7. Mobile, Alabama
  8. Lafayette, Louisiana
  9. Winston-Salem, North Carolina
  10. Knoxville, Tennessee
