(Newser) – Comedian Wanda Sykes has revealed she is gay—and married her girlfriend days before passage of Proposition 8 banned gay marriage in California. The 44-year-old co-star of The New Adventures of Old Christine and Curb Your Enthusiasm spoke emotionally to a cheering crowd at a rally supporting gay marriage in Las Vegas over the weekend, reports E! Online.

"I don't talk about my sexual orientation. I didn't feel like I had to," she told the crowd. But now the battle over Proposition 8 has "galvanized a community," she added. "Instead of having gay marriage in California, we’re going to get it across the country. How can you stop people from loving each other?”

morenogabr ...Who do you say Jesus is? Who is your God? Unless you have no God. Why do you persecute someine who died to give you life? Choose this day whom you shall serve... As far as God being outdated, God is not a fad. He is your heavenly Father. He does not change. Again, he is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He can be counted on when all of our other plans fall through. He does not force you to choose Him. Why mock Him? There will come a day that every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord..Yes, even you.

Oh, whatever. It's not like no one knew before now that she's gay. Get over it.
