Long-Range Rocket Strikes Israel

Israel vows 'great force' in response

(Newser) – A long-range rocket fired today from Gaza struck the Israeli city of Ashkelon in the first such attack since the ceasefire began last month, reports CNN. No injuries were reported, but Israel vowed to respond with "great force." Resumed rocket fire from Gaza presents a particular problem for the centrist-led Israeli government before next week's elections. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has threatened "disproportionate" retaliation for Gaza violence.

i agree...The nation of Israel firmly believes that the chunk of dirt that they're living on was given to them by GOD..and that he will help them SMITE the enemies of Israel for screwing with them. Its very simple in my mind...dont F with Israel!! Not to forget that America likes Israel, very much so, which makes matters better for them, but worse for mostly everybody else. Either way..if someone so much as hurls a rock across the border into Israel, they're just askin to be smitten haha. What shaniqua said is right, cease-fires are just times to reload your rockets..and i doubt there will ever be peace in the middle east, seeing as there never has been in the history of humanity.

if hamas is agreeable to a 12-18 month cease-fire, why not an eternal cease-fire ?? no more rockets into israel forever. then israel won't have anything to retaliate against. we all know the answer. the cease-fire is only looked at as a restocking time of weaponry.
