Stoner Stuffs Cat in Bong to 'Mellow'

A Nebraska man faces a misdemeanor charge—which could become a felony—for stuffing his cat into a homemade bong and smoking marijuana through the contraption, the AP reports. The man, who was also charged with possession, said the cat was hyper and he was trying to “mellow” her out. “What the human mind doesn’t invent, huh?” said the director of a nearby animal shelter.
Police responded to the man’s house after reports of a domestic disturbance. That having been settled, they left, only to discover there was an outstanding warrant for drug paraphernalia. They found the man smoking marijuana; the feline in the bong came as a surprise. “This cat was just dazed,” a cop said. She “never moved all the way to the humane society.”
