Jamie Lynn Spears' Wedding Off, But No Split

(Newser) – Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge are still very much together, but have called off a planned wedding, OK! reports. “Jamie Lynn has everything she wants and feels no need for a ring and piece of paper,” one insider said of Spears, 17, and Aldridge, 18. “She and Casey have weathered a lot in their young relationship already,” another said of the parents of 9-month-old Maddie Briann. They “don’t need the pressure of making wedding plans.”

Why is marriage almost always regarded (more than likely by those that really don't WANT to get married) as " a ring and a piece of paper??" IT'S THE COMMITTMENT, LOYALTY, not the ring and wedding plans for one day. Just say you don't want to get married and be done with it. People in happy or even decent marriages, that have worked hard at them through the good and bad times, don't need other people lookiing at marriage as just a piece of jewelry and a piece of paper.
