(Newser) – If Barack Obama gets sick of being president, maybe he could work a career as cover-boy beefcake. The Washingtonian, a DC-area style/culture magazine, has plastered a picture of the topless Obama on the cover of its May issue, ABC News reports. The pic supposedly illustrates the No. 2 reason (among 26) to love living in the capital: “Our new neighbor is hot.”

The picture is a paparazzi shot, grabbed during the then-president-elect’s Hawaiian vacation last year. The Washingtonian’s editor-at-large says the mag wanted to highlight Obama’s celebrity appeal. “It’s not a normal way to look at a president of the United States but this is not a normal president,” he said. White House aides were unconcerned, remarking only that Obama looked to be in great shape.
