(Newser) – Susan Boyle’s story keeps getting sadder as more details emerge. Boyle sobbed all day before collapsing, the Sun reports, then wailed for her cat, Pebbles, after checking into the clinic on Sunday, and couldn't be calmed until a phone call to the animal was arranged. More on the Britain’s Got Talent runner-up:

  • Though she didn’t win the royal audience, Boyle can count Prince Harry as a royal fan—he thinks she’s “fantastic,” the Mirror reports.

  • Another high-profile Boyle supporter? Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who checked in with judges to make sure she was OK, AFP reports.
  • The chief medical officer at Boyle’s clinic is blaming Talent for not helping her deal with her sudden fame, the Mail reports. Meanwhile, a media regulatory group may investigate the network for possibly violating the broadcasting code by allowing an emotionally distressed Boyle to compete.

I've long been critical of the media overexposure of this. I hope she takes time to reflect on events this year and truly assess if she has the emotional strength to pursue a professional singing career. You can still love singing without making it your profession, as long as you can accept that fame and fortune will elude you, which isn't always a bad thing.

This is so bogus and so typical of the media to practically annihilate someone and then blame others for the outcome. In this case by stating 'it's by not helping her deal with her sudden fame'! It's plain to see Susan, is genuine and is blown away by the back stabbing lies, gossip and deceit from the very one's who praised her in the beginning as an overnight sensation, only to label her a loser at the height in her life all in a weeks time. This isn't just being unbalanced, this is pure evil. Her brother is right about Susan, needing to go home and collect herself together. Susan, will learn the how to deal with the animalistic brutes who get paid for doing this. It may not be worth it, there are many examples of those who have ended up on drugs with their lives devasted or dead due to this type of corruption. Think about it Susan, they're relentless in their efforts to destroy people lives. Can you live this way?
