(NEWSER) - The dead woman found at the home of ex-Anheuser-Busch CEO August Busch IV accidentally overdosed on the painkiller oxycodone, the medical examiner said yesterday. Friends previously said Adrienne Martin, 27, was firmly against illegal drugs, but Busch had speculated medication she was taking could be to blame for her death. His attorney says Busch did not know she was taking oxycodone, the AP reports. The forensics administrator wouldn’t say if any other drugs were in Martin’s system, and the full report won’t be released until the investigation into her death is complete. Alexa Ray Joel took a homeopathic drug, source says

(NEWSER) - Alexa Ray Joel is out of the hospital and "is going to be fine," her father, Billy Joel, said last night. The 23-year-old singer-songwriter, reportedly distraught over a recent breakup, was treated at a New York hospital after overdosing on a substance a source identifies as a homeopathic drug. (NEWSER) - MTV intends to air a drug-intervention reality show starring the late Adam Goldstein, better known as DJ AM. In Gone Too Far, Goldstein plays sober mentor to addicts. Given Goldstein’s recent death from a drug overdose, MTV was concerned the show could be seen as hypocritical or exploitative, but ultimately decided that the unique circumstances could strengthen its anti-drug message, sources tell the Hollywood Reporter.
