GOP's King rants about media obsession with 'pervert' on YouTube

(Newser) – To those mourning the death of Michael Jackson, one congressman has a message for you: get over it. Rep. Peter King posted a YouTube video yesterday blaming "politically correct" media for obsessing over "a pervert, a child molester; he was a pedophile." Asks the New York Republican: "Would you let your child or grandchild be in the same room with Michael Jackson?"

I agree with you Mjoh3... I for one liked Michael's music but all this big circus surrounding his death and how great he was...makes me sick!

Needless to say, this was a cheap political ploy . Don't understand why this representative would make such statements - it's not his place to do so. Oh, and by the way - he would have lost my vote since I wouldn't want a jerk like this representing me.
