Paris Swears She Hyped Pledge This!

Party girl testifies in court, tells judge he's 'the best ever'

(Newser) – Paris Hilton testified in a Miami courtroom today that she's an Aquarius, she's creative, and she promoted the 2007 clunker Pledge This! "more than I ever plugged anything in my life." The party girl/heiress defended herself against a lawsuit that claims she failed to hype the $7.5 million film, which banked only $2.9 million, NBC Miami reports. "I'm an Aquarius, so I'm very creative," she said. "I do the creativity and they do the business."

Hilton touched up her makeup before taking the stand. "I promoted this movie from the very beginning," she said. She wrapped up by telling the judge, "You're the best judge ever!" His answer: "Thanks, but I'm going to rule based on the law." The film's investors are suing for $8.3 million in damages.

Surely they understand that it bombed BECAUSE she promoted it - don't they?

So much for my Newser news filter! It's supposed to block gossip and fluff, but this sneaked through. The only way I want to see Paris is in a Carl's JR commercial! Reply
