2 New Mozart Pieces Found

Two piano pieces surface in Austria

(Newser) – Two pieces of music found in the vaults of the International Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg, Austria, have been confirmed as the work of Mozart himself, the BBC reports. The compositions are for solo piano, but other details are being kept under wraps until a formal announcement next month, said a foundation spokeswoman. They will eventually be performed on Mozart's original fortepiano.

Wolfgang was music's equivalent to Shakespeare or Botticelli. A unique genius. Amadeus remains one of the best movies ever. The sets, the music, the costimes. Vienna and Prague were serious party towns. It would have been a great place to drink and debauch (except for the rampant syphillus) I loved that cute little pink cheeked, nymph movie wife of his.
