Freak Accident Nearly Kills Grand Prix Racer

Car part bounces off track, fractures Felipe Massa's skull

Share

(Newser) – A Brazilian auto racer is in “life-threatening,” though stable, condition after a spring from another car bounced off the track and hit the driver in the helmet, knocking him unconscious as he drove into a barrier, the Independent reports. Felipe Massa’s surgery for multiple skull fractures was “reassuring,” noted his doctor, who said the Brazilian Ferrari driver, who was competing in a Hungarian Grand Prix qualifier, had suffered no brain damage.

Could have been worse, he could have ventured posting a "wrong" opinion on Newser. Glad he's going to be okay. Reply

How's your health care coverage, No? What's your lifetime max, your out-of-pocket max, your annual deductible, your co-pay? I'm asking because its past time to get down to some real numbers. My lifetime is 2 million, 200 out of pocket, 300 annual deductable, 10% co-pay. I pay 200 a month, former employer pays the remaining $12,000. I won't have to give that up, either. Obama says I can keep my doctors, my insurance, no problem. Under his plan I'll pay less than $100 a month. You want to make a gratuitous comment about "Obamacare" then tell me about your health care coverage. Otherwise, can it. Reply

Obama lies. You will be forced into a government health plan run much like Medicare b/c no one else will be able to compete. You WILL have to give up your current plan. Obama lies.

Fantastic comment, Rocket. And in answer to NObama, have you talked to any seniors lately about how they like their coverage? In polls they are far more favorable about it than most of those who have private health insurance plans.
