Dethroned Miss Cali to Sue

Claims 'lost earnings,' even though she got a book deal...

(Newser) – The Miss California drama isn’t over yet: dethroned Carrie Prejean is filing a lawsuit against the organization, reports Perez Hilton, who snagged a copy of the complaint. Prejean names Keith Lewis and Shanna Moakler, but not Donald Trump, as defendants in her suit for—among other things—slander, libel, and religious discrimination. Lawyers for both sides are in talks to handle the matter through mediation, sources say.

Nothing frivolous about this lawsuit. That poor girl was dragged through the mud for her religious beliefs on marriage. I hope she needs a dozen wheelbarrows to haul in her setttlement. Reply

The way I understand it, she was fired for not fulfilling her contractual obligations.

How exactly did Shanna Moakler discriminate against her religiously? Shanna disagreed with her views then resigned when she got to keep her crown. It seems more for attention.

Mrs.K, please detail how the hell Keith Lewis and Shanna Moakler are responsible for others dragging her through the mud? They never said shit about her beliefs, only about her failure to honor her contract with them. Why should they pay for what others said? --- Better question: Why should anyone pay for speaking there mind? Prejean was allowed to say whatever shit popped in her mouth.
