Birther Comes Unglued on MSNBC

Orly Taitz calls host a 'Brownshirt' in fight over Kenyan birth certificate

(Newser) – Leading birther Orly Taitz had a shouting match with David Shuster on MSNBC yesterday, prompted by a document purporting to be proof President Obama was born in Kenya. The attorney called Shuster one of Obama's "Brownshirts in the media" before the feed was finally cut off, the Christian Science Monitor reports. As for the document, the eagle-eyed were quick to spot a few problems, the Washington Independent reports.

Among them: The document, alleged to be the president's real birth certificate, is dated Republic of Kenya, February 17 1964, when Kenya did not become an independent Republic until December that year. Nit-pickers also noted that the registrar is named as EF Lavender—Earth Friendly Lavender is a popular detergent in Kenya—and that the document gives the place of birth as Mombasa, a thousand miles away from where the Kenyan Obamas live and not a part of Kenya at the time the president was born.

Birther Queen Orly Taitz claim this document is President Obama's real birth certificate.

sache- Why not deal with the facts relevant to the issue rather than disparaging people who disagree with you. Answer these questions and put the whole birther issue to rest. Why doesn't Obama simply release a certified copy of his birth certificate? The US passport office would not issue a passport to my son (then age 6) when I submitted a hospital certified Certificate of Birth- they required an official U.S. Birth Certificate. When Obama travelled abroad he used a foreign Passport which he also refuses to provide. What is he hiding? These are reasonable, logical, common sense questions. Disparaging those who disagree with you is a weak tactic when you don't have reasonable answers. You bring yourself into disrepute.

I'm watching Americans hating each other! Please listen to shonangreg: "Somehow, I think the reasonable people on both the Left and the Right, and the Libertarians and others, should all have forums for discussion *independent of* our respective parties." THAT'S what is needed. Shouting at each other while the Chinese and Indians overtake your economy is really not clever. You are not Republicans or Democrats. You are Americans, and you need to start talking solutions, not squabbling like spoilt, overfed, overindulged, underinformed brats (oh, wait . . . )

godawgs, I was suggesting tongue-in-cheek that someone from Africa decided to pull a trick and invent a fake BC to trap the stoopid. I see now there's an Aussie connection!! Go figure! Sure can't trust paper or pictures these days without looking closely with a skeptical mind! LOL
