Brooks & Dunn Will Bow Out in 2010

My fear of Facebook is making me cry. And grammar is only an issue when mean and wrong. Truly, I who will drive three thousand miles rather than fly, will also not go on Facebook. Don't ask me why, cause I have no idea. I've had a computer since 1993, but I got an email address only in October and that was because my friend told me that I was more McCain and less Obama. As a newbie to this whole thing, what astounds me is the overwhelming crap posted as truth. That is scary and probably the reason that I never stepped into the World Wide Web created in 1991. I will say though that as a good researcher, it didn't take me long to find this place which is such a rarity that we should really kiss the grid when it pops up. Oddly enough Kris who wrote the song and Janet who sang it were right about freedom being nothing left to lose. We, none of us, are as free and open as we are here, where there is nothing of US to lose. The site itself? Willing to pluck the hell out of a bow to keep it just like it is. Reply

Interesting comments Deebs (I'm glad you're Deebs again, BTW). The strange thing about flagging here is that it just as often about objecting to opinions as it is about language, perhaps even more so. I spend my time here (occasionally) trying to get people to consider that they may not have the whole picture--that there are elements that they are missing when forming some of their opinions. More often, I spend my time amusing myself by poking at others to get a reaction. I know that I'm lowering myself to their level when I put on my right-wing extremist hat, but many of these people are so biased, so arrogant and so myopic that they just flat-out need someone to give them a dose of shit. Our country is in horrible shape and it isn't going to get better. It doesn't matter whether it's Bush or Obama in office, because ultimately these guys know that they have a line to walk, personal desires and ideologies aside. Newser is a fun site for us news junkies. Sure the people here tend to try to shut down dissent, but frankly that's what keeps me around--somebody's got to piss in their cream of wheat. Doing so gives me a warm fuzzy feeling--and feeling good is good enough for me... Reply
