(Newser) – Jon Stewart made a discovery on last night's Daily Show: Fox News has turned into a big, fat liberal! As proof, Stewart showed a series of clips, including one of Bill O'Reilly praising conservative town hall protesters ("We don't describe the protesters as 'loons,'" he says) contrasted with a 2004 clip in which its talking heads called liberal protesters...“loons.” And it’s not just protesters they’ve flip-flopped on: “Liberals hate the president! And I think you’ll have to agree with me: No one is doing that more effectively than Fox.”

“Of course, we’re just having a little playful fun. Everyone knows the mainstream media is liberal. I mean, for Fox to actually be liberal, they’d have to be part of the mainstream, and one of the big dogs,” he continued, before showing clips of Fox personalities touting their strong ratings. “Welcome to liberalism, fuckos!” Stewart concluded. “See you guys at Sean Penn’s barbecue this weekend. We’re having tofu bourguignon. It’s French—and vegan!”

It's "halftime" in America, and we're all pulling together for a brighter economic future, says the gravelly-voiced star. But Eastwood was opposed to the bailout that made the Chrysler turnaround possible, and now the ad has become a political football as Dems score points with it and the GOP tackles it, notes ABC News . “Saving the American Auto Industry: Something Eminem and Clint Eastwood can agree on," crowed White House spokesman Dan Pfeiffer on Twitter, referring to Eminem’s Chrysler ad during last year's Super Bowl. (NEWSER) - Jon Stewart ripped into Mitt Romney's tax return last night, and Elizabeth Warren showed up later to hammer home the point. "How can you justify making more in one day than the median American family makes in a year, while paying an effective tax rate of the guy who has to scan your shoes at the airport?" Stewart asked incredulously. Sure, as Romney pointed out, we might not want a candidate "who pays more taxes than he owes," Stewart agreed . "No, but we might want one who thinks that's wrong." Added Warren later in the show, "Washington now works for those who can hire an army of lobbyists."
