'Roo On the Lam in Germany

By Jane Yager,  Newser Staff

(Newser) – The silly season has reached its peak: Der Spiegel reports a lost kangaroo hopping through the western German countryside. Locals have spotted the stray marsupial on a highway and a sports ground, but nobody has been quick enough to catch it. With no zoos or kangaroo farms reporting a lost kangaroo, the origins of the animal—certainly not native to Germany— remain a mystery.

You know, I know of this guy this really rich guy in the Netherlands who keeps kangaroos on his properties. That's pretty far though. But still, maybe he isn't the only one.
