Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’ half-brother has been indicted on charges of possession, duplication, and distribution of child porn, the AP reports. Allegations by Jamie Auchincloss’ former personal assistant sparked the investigations; a police search of his home computer revealed a large number of graphic images of young boys. Locals in Auchincloss’ Oregon town were quick to come to his defense. “I don't think Jamie's a danger to the community,” says one neighbor in Ashland. "We have a child that Jamie's never shown the slightest interest in," she said.
Auchincloss, who has been active among Ashland Democrats and served on the board of a local theater company, was estranged from his half sister. Though as a 6-year-old he carried Jackie's bridal train up the aisle when she married John F. Kennedy in 1953, she later cut him off, likely because Auchincloss served as a source for the racy Onassis biography by Kitty Kelley.
