Coach Suspends Oregon Player for Postgame Punch

LeGarrette Blount out for rest of season

(Newser) – The Oregon Ducks' football coach has suspended hotheaded running back LeGarrette Blount for punching a Boise State player in the face, the Statesman Journal reports. Head coach Chip Kelly said Blount would retain his scholarship for the year but will not be allowed to play in any regular-season or bowl games.

keep giving him the education, cause i guarantee by not playing, there goes his draft possibilities. His football career is all but over at this point.

Totally agree...it's sports...competition and spirits are high...there's no way what he did is right...but people calling for jail time is ridiculous...and all season in my opinion is too harsh...I like the 3 game suggestion
