(NEWSER) - Antidote to rowdy sports fans stories: A server at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium tripped on a stair, showering nearby fans on those sitting in two lower sections with about $1,000 in cash. “All my customers began screaming over the railing to the people below: ‘That’s the servers’ money,’ ” she tells the San Diego Union-Tribune . Brandon Marshall of Miami Dolphins expected to fully recover

(NEWSER) - Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall underwent surgery after being stabbed in the abdomen by his wife, police say. Marshall's agent tells the Miami Herald that the wound isn't life-threatening and that he's expected to fully recover. Police charged Michi Nogami-Marshall with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in a domestic dispute. She said she used the kitchen knife in self-defense. More»

(AP) - Don Coryell, one of the founding fathers of the modern passing game, has died. He was 85. The San Diego Chargers confirmed Coryell died yesterday at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in suburban La Mesa.The team did not release the cause of death, but Coryell has been in poor health for some time. "We've lost a man who has contributed to the game of pro football in a very lasting way with his innovations and with his style," Hall of Famer, and Coryell protege, Dan Fouts said from Oregon.
