Fox: Tea Parties Not Covered CNN: You Lie!

Ad sparks network tea party war

Share

(Newser) – Rival networks were quick to go on the counterattack after being accused by Fox of ignoring last weekend's tea party protests in the capital, Mediaite reports. A full-page Washington Post ad from Fox asked, "How Did ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC And CNN Miss This Story," prompting the irate networks to make it clear that—as millions of viewers could attest—they had indeed covered the protests in detail.

CNN's Rick Sanchez gave Fox one of its most furious responses, calling the ad "a lie so bold and so upsetting that, frankly, I'm just not going to sit here in silence" and demanding an apology. "Two words: You lie," he added. To underline the point, he played clips of CNN's coverage of the rally—and a clip of Fox's Bill O’Reilly noting that CNN had covered the protests.

This Fox ad provoked an angry response from the network it accuses of missing last weekend's tea party protest.

Doctor, one question that comes to mind on this particular story is the fact that Faux News would so blatantly lie about something this easy to disprove, why the hell are Republicans not wondering to themselves how many times per day is Faux lying to them and getting away with it in their effort to stir hate and discontent between people in this country for their own personal gains. Are they so blind they would continue to allow themselves to be led like sheep in such a manner? Well to me the apparent answer is yes, they enjoy being sheep headed to slaughter or so it would seem I only am left to wonder when the day the bill comes due will they be prepared for what the ultimate price might be

John Galt is a pretend hero from a comic book written by a dizzy broad who never held a job but thought she knew how the real world worked.

F*X viewers only watch F*X and proudly proclaim so. The ostrich should be their company logo (though ostriches don't actually bury their head in the sand, Fox viewers certainly have theirs buried in something). That station could report purple skies and green rain and their sheeple audience would believe it. It's sad, really: people want spin to support their prejudices, not facts to broaden their minds. I hope that once the storm clears and education is once again appreciated - not feared as a catalyst for socialism (of which they fail to understand the meaning) - the entirety of F*X News will be remembered as yellow journalists and fraudsters.
