Hasselhoff Was Dizzy, Not Drunk

Reps for the Baywatch actor claim medication, not alcohol, led to collapse

(Newser) – Though it probably depends on your definition of “normal,” David Hasselhoff “is totally normal,” his lawyer tells E!, claiming the Hoff’s hospitalization Sunday wasn’t due to substance abuse. A bad combination of drugs—one for an ear infection and one that helps keep alcoholics from drinking—made him dizzy, his rep says, and he “was released almost immediately after he arrived at the hospital,” his lawyer adds.

No, the drug the call Antibuse(sp?) has that side effect when mixed with strong antibiotics, had a co-worker who took the drug for years to curb his drinking and he could hardly take an aspirin without side effects almost as bad as his being intoxicated....wicked little pill that is when your an Alcoholic but if that's what it takes for them to stay sober then more power to them. As per Hasselhoff I have no sympathy, only time I felt sorry for any in that family was the video of his Daughter attempting to help him while he was smashed....Drunks I have no time for

he's an alcoholic. and possible drug addict. he needs to reach a bottom, a crashing bottom before he seeks help. the only end for an chronic alcoholic is dire. unless he gets treatment. aa is a start. i hope he can find his way. Reply
