US, Iran May Meet One-on-One on Nukes

Meeting tomorrow could be most direct engagement since the revolution

Share

(Newser) – US diplomats will try to meet one-on-one with their Iranian counterparts during tomorrow’s multi-nation negotiations on Tehran’s nuclear program. It would be the most significant direct engagement between the two countries since the Iranian revolution. An anonymous official tells the Washington Post that the one-on-one talks would "reinforce the main concerns we will be making” in the group meetings with other Western powers. It's still unclear whether Iran will agree to them.

I have hope in a diplomatic solution to all this.... Beacuse I shudder to think of all the economic, social and political implications if this escalates to an armed conflict. And not just to america, but all the world would suffer if the warmongering (from all sides) succeeds. Reply

Darn. I was thinking the "One-on-One on Nukes". meant the US could drop one of those bombs there planning to get rid of, and see what they would drop. The heck with that, just carpet bomb with all the nukes they want to cut back on.That would stop such BS from all countries. Stupidity should be meet with equal stupidity back. Reply
