Surprisingly, Tuesday night’s So You Think You Can Dance crotch shot (watch the offending clip at left) hasn’t quite galvanized the nation into a state of outrage—but it’s still gaining steam. Nigel Lythgoe tells TMZ that what appears to be the contestant’s vagina is actually “a crease in the young lady’s panties.” The gossip site isn’t buying it, but you can judge for yourself at the link below.
FCC fines are sure to follow—but how much? It all depends. “Was this a stunt to get everyone talking about a show whose ratings are off from the summer season?” writes Brian Moylan on Gawker. “If so, Fox better get out its wallet. (Also, kudos).” Another method of quantifying the punishment: “the decibel level of” Glenn Beck’s “loudest, sternest scream on the subject multiplied by the square root of pi.”
